LooperChat connects with AI providers, external tool servers, and authentication systems.

AI Keys

Use your own API key to power the AI chatbot. This removes message limits — you pay your AI provider directly.

Available on the Business plan and above.

Supported Providers

• OpenAI — GPT-4, GPT-4o, and other models. Supports custom API URLs for proxies.
• Google Gemini — Gemini Pro and other models
• Grok — xAI's Grok models

Setup

1. Go to your project's Settings > AI Key
2. Click Add Key
3. Select a provider and model
4. Enter your API key
5. Save

Each project can have one active AI key. Without a key, LooperChat's default key is used with plan message limits.

MCP Servers

Connect external MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers to give the AI access to additional tools and data sources.

How It Works

1. Go to your project's Settings > MCP Servers
2. Click Add Server
3. Enter the server URL (Streamable HTTP endpoint)
4. Add a bearer token if required
5. Save

The AI automatically discovers available tools from the MCP server and uses them when relevant to the visitor's question.

Shopify Stores

Shopify stores get MCP servers configured automatically:

• Product search — search catalog, view product details and variants
• Cart management — add items, update quantities, provide checkout links
• Store policies — answer questions about shipping, returns, and FAQs

No setup needed — these connect directly to Shopify's built-in endpoints.

AI Mode

MCP servers require Tool Call AI mode. Go to Settings > General > AI Mode and select Tool Call to enable MCP integrations.

• RAG — always searches your content before responding. Simpler and lower cost.
• Tool Call — AI decides when to search and which tools to use. Supports MCP integrations.

Mobile Tokens

Manage push notification tokens for mobile apps connected to your organization. View active tokens and revoke access if needed.

Go to Connect in the sidebar (available for enterprise users).

SAML (SSO)

Enable Single Sign-On for your organization. Available on the Business plan with SSO enabled.

1. Go to Connect > SAML
2. Toggle SAML on
3. Configure your Identity Provider:
   • Entity ID — from your IdP
   • SSO URL — login URL from your IdP
   • Logout URL — from your IdP
   • X509 Certificate — public certificate from your IdP
4. Optionally disable password login to enforce SSO
5. List allowed email addresses, or leave empty to allow all
